Privacy policy
Effective October 5, 2026 · Amsha
Amsha computes birth charts. To do that we need unusually personal facts — when and where you were born — so this policy is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
- Birth details: date, time, and place of birth for each chart you cast, and an optional name label.
- Account: your email address (or Apple/Google identity) when you sign in.
- Your readings: the written interpretation generated for your chart, stored so it is never recomputed or re-billed.
We do not collect your contacts, location (beyond the birthplace you type), advertising identifiers, or analytics profiles.
How it is used
- Computing your chart, panchang, and transits.
- Generating your written reading and daily reflection. Chart facts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for this; Anthropic does not use API data to train models.
- Compatibility and matching features: when you run a match, both birth charts are compared; any future feature that makes your chart discoverable to other people will be strictly opt-in and off by default.
- Birthplace lookup uses a geocoding service (the place name you type is sent to resolve coordinates and timezone).
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data. To anyone, for anything.
- Use fear to market to you, or your chart to manipulate you.
- Show your chart or readings to other users without your explicit opt-in.
Where it lives
Account data, charts, and readings are stored with Supabase (our database host) under row-level security: only your authenticated account can read your rows. A copy of your reading and daily reflection is cached on your own device for offline, cost-free reloading.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us; deletion is permanent. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA, including deletion and disclosure; we honor those rights for everyone, not just Californians.
Children
Amsha is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
